2025 - 2026 Masonic Year

WPM Todd Thorson - Secretary

I’m blessed to be a bestselling author, entrepreneur, and a passionate evangelist for technology and cybersecurity, with nearly 30 years of experience in the field. I currently protect clients across a broad range of industries—including healthcare, finance, government, education, construction, services, and retail—in both private and public sectors. As CTO and CISO of TANJ Cybersecurity & Technologies, I lead a skilled team that provides cybersecurity and IT services to small and medium-sized businesses. Over the years, I’ve held roles in diverse organizations and industries, progressing from Help Desk technician to CIO/CTO. My driving professional passion is helping keep my friends, family, and clients from becoming the next victims of cybercrime.

Beyond my career, I’m proud to serve on the Board of Directors for CADC (communityadultdaycenter.org), an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s by nurturing the mind, body, and spirit. I also enjoy playing guitar and managing the local rock cover band Forget Hannah, indulging in my car obsession, and spending cherished time with my wonderful wife, Nancy, and our children, Jenny and Alex.

I discovered Freemasonry during a pivotal season of life—newly married, starting a family, and seeking direction in an increasingly complex world. It offered a profound sense of grounding and connection to a legacy of values, fellowship, and purpose that spans generations. Freemasonry helped me feel anchored, not just to the men who came before, but to those who will continue the tradition long after me. Knowing I share in the same timeless legacy as many of history’s great men affirms my role as a steward of this institution.

I was raised a Master Mason in Elmhurst Lodge No. 941 in October 2003, and the journey has been both humbling and deeply rewarding. I’ve proudly served three terms as Master of Elmhurst and am a Past Master and current Senior Warden of Green Dragon Lodge No. 821, which I helped found alongside RWB Mark Entwistle. Today, I serve as Lodge Secretary, honored with the responsibility of maintaining clear communication and helping ensure the lodge’s smooth operation.

RWPM Mark Entwistle - Treasurer

I grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago until I married my wife Pam in 1984. At that time, we moved to Elmhurst and are still in the house we built in 1986. I have been a Real Estate Broker for 12 years and was a Mortgage Banker prior to that. I am a former Alderman in the 3rd Ward of the City of Elmhurst. I hold an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, A Bachelors Degree in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). I played hockey for 14 years but just enjoy watching games now. I have served two not-for-profit organizations, on the Board of Directors, and have volunteered with several Elmhurst organizations.

I was raised as a Master Mason in Elmhurst Lodge 941 on May 29, 2001. I did plural memberships with Lombard Lodge 1098, I am a charter member of Men in Brotherhood Lodge 1098, and, with Worshipful Brother Todd Thorson, co-founded Green Dragon Lodge 821. I had the privilege of serving as Worshipful Master for Lombard Lodge 1098, Elmhurst Lodge 941, and as of this writing, I am the current Master of Green Dragon 821. I am a past District Deputy Grand Master and a past Assistant Area Deputy Grabd Master. I currently sit as the Treasurer for Elmhurst Lodge.

Bro James J Los - Senior Deacon

My nick name is "Papa" Los.  I acquired this name because my son is also a member of this Lodge.  He is the reason I joined the Mason organization.  Part of his reasoning was that because I retired from dentistry in 2019, I would need a new challenge to keep me busy.  Joining this lodge has been a blessing.  I value the social aspects and educational opportunities offered in achieving the degree of Master Mason and by holding an office in this lodge.  The experience is helping to make this "good man a better man"

Bro Benjamin Gabelman - Junior Steward

My life is centered around family, work, and my passions. I married my wife, Katie, in 2019, and our family grew this year when we welcomed our first dog, Juneau. For the past 18 years, I've been a dedicated part of my family business, serving as the warehouse manager and truly embodying the role of a jack-of-all-trades. When I'm not working, Katie and I love to explore the world; our recent Alaskan cruise was an amazing experience. My free time is also filled with my love for music, especially the 80s, but my tastes span everything from classic rock to country. And of course, my unwavering loyalty to Chicago sports, particularly the Cubs and Bears, is a constant source of excitement.

Two years ago, I embarked on another significant journey by becoming a Freemason. To me, this means a daily commitment of self-improvement and being an active part of a community that genuinely cares about others. I find the experience of each meeting incredibly enriching, constantly discovering new and more detailed aspects of the work. This dedication has led to a recent and exciting milestone: my appointment as Junior Steward. I'm eager to dive into this new role, embracing the opportunity to learn even more about the craft and deepen my understanding of Freemasonry.

WB Adam Clifford "WS Poncho" Meacham - Tyler

Past Master of Elmhurst No. 0941 (2024-2025), was born on 08 July 1986 in the Chicagoland area of Illinois. Raised in Oak Park, IL, he graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School in '04 and was studying Biology at Dominican University when one of his biggest blessings came into reality: he was going to be a father to daughter Victoria in 2013. Discontinuing his studies, he began a career in Public Safety in the private sector, eventually rising to the Supervisory role of Sergeant at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. In 2015, he met his soulmate, Annina Wanzung, and was married in 2019. In between this time, he began his career with the State of Illinois working at John J. Madden Mental Health Center as a Security Officer. After a couple of years providing safety in a challenging environment, he transferred to the IL Dept. of Military Affairs and worked with the IL National Guard as a DOD Contractor for the State. Eventually, in 2023, he returned to work in Security for the IL Dept. of Veterans' Affairs. After a short stint working on midnights, he transferred back to where he began, at the IL Dept. of Human Services at Shapiro Dev Center. In 2021 he was blessed a second time with daughter Valentina. He has always, within the length of his cable tow, made a personal and professional career from being someone to offer his hand to picking another up when they have been in need.

WB Meacham's Masonic travels began in 2018 when he was entered, passed, and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason at the Grand Master's Festival on 30 June 2018 at the AASR Valley of Chicago. From the beginning, his route to that most awe inspiring Oriental Chair was not a traditional one. He began immediately as a Senior Steward, next stepped into the Jr. Steward chair, leap frogged to Senior Deacon and then followed through as JW, SW and on the 07th of December 2024, was installed as Worshipful Master of Elmhurst 0941. His Season in the East was shorter than a usual, and on 28 June 2025, he passed the gavel on to WB Jimmy Los, and took his place as Tyler of the Lodge. He is a plural member of Oak Forest No. 0832, a lifetime member of the York Rite Keystone Chapter No. 281, member of DuPage Cryptic Council 182, CHI-ILL Grotto 218, Knights Templar Mizpah Commandery 53, a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Chicago, and a Branded member of the 357 Brotherhood of Widows Sons MRA motorcyclers.

Masonry has been the channel through which he has become a better man, a dependable Brother, and the greatest Father/Husband possible through meditation on the mysteries of Freemasonry.

WB James P. Los - Master

My name is James Los, I’m a middle school assistant principal, father of 2 daughters, a gearhead for all vehicles, a lover of whiskey and cocktails, and enjoy spending time outdoors with friends and family. Just before the pandemic I was wanting a little something more in my life.  My daughters were no longer infants and a little more independent and I was comfortable in my role at work.  I wanted a new challenge in life, a new hobby, a way to grow and improve as a man, a way to connect with others, a way to have some fun outside of my house filled with women.  I came across freemasonry and decided to reach out in hopes it give me what I was looking for.  I attended a few dinners and meet some of the members of Elmhurst Lodge.  After getting to know some of them I decided a give freemasonry a try.  I was looking for fellowship and connections to others, an opportunity to learn something new and take on new challenges, and hoped to become a better man.  After becoming a Master Mason, I was able to fulfill my goals and I developed new goals and interests in freemasonry.  After becoming a Master Mason my new passions and interests were supporting charity work, learning from Masonry and teaching others what I have learned, and a new passion for ritual.  Over the years I have been in many different roles in masonry and they all have taught me how to be a better man, a better leader, and allowed me to make strong, positive, and supportive friendships and connections with other members.  Freemasonry allowed me to grow and improve myself, gave me new purpose in life, new challenges and enjoyments, allowed me to pursue my passions, and made great new friendships.  I have learned that every member became a Freemason for different reasons, every member gets something different out of freemasonry, and every member is allowed to pursue their own passions and interests.  I’m more than willing to discuss anyone’s interests or questions about freemasonry.  I’m also eager and excited to support anyone who wants to become a freemason.sonry.

Bro Matt Davidson - Junior Warden

My name is Matt Davidson.  I am a Cyber Security professional.  I am a father of 2 kids, a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and enjoy all things related to investing.  I started a non-profit which pays for Veterans and First Responders with post traumatic stress find Jiu-Jitsu as it’s proven to help reduce stress and provides camaraderie and teamwork that many seem to miss once they retire or no longer decide to serve.

I found Masonry through a fellow Jiu-Jitsu friend who was a Mason.  We talked about many things and eventually he became a board member of the non-profit.   Long story short, he invited me to the lodge, and I was very impressed with the people and history.

My journey so far has been amazing as the men at this lodge are active in the community, open to many new ideas, and truly are looking out for each other.  I have been lucky enough to have some awesome experiences while also growing and pushing myself.
